Promoting positive behaviour and excellent attendance is the responsibility of the whole school community. The school will promote positive behaviour and good attendance through its use of curriculum and learning materials. Good attendance and behaviour by pupils will be recognised appropriately. All pupils should be at school, on time, and every day the school is open, unless the reason for the absence is unavoidable.
We have a supportive approach to attendance and work with our families to promote healthy habits to ensure children attend as regularly as possible. Some things that we offer are:
- Weekly class rewards
- Individual rewards for children making good progress
- Half termly individual awards
- Monitoring of whole school attendance data
- Supportive conversations between home and teachers for children falling under 90%
- Supportive conversations and actions set for children falling below 80%
- If you wish to see more, please refer to the Attendance policy link below.
