Welcome to Brackensdale Spencer Academy
At Brackensdale Spencer Academy, we are committed to providing a high-quality of education for all children and a caring ethos in which each individual achieves their full potential. We teach this through our 3 values which are woven into everything that we do at school. You will hear the children and adults referring to them regularly throughout the day.
A ‘Brackensdale education’ is about developing the whole child and providing opportunities for them to flourish within and beyond the classroom. Our children are at the heart of everything we do and we pride ourselves on maintaining positive relationships with home.
We are proud of our Enhanced Resource unit, made up of the Ark (EYFS and KS1) and the Phoenix (KS2), which caters for children who require specialist provision around communication and interaction, primarily children with ASD.
In addition to being a highly valued local school, Brackensdale Spencer Academy provides a professional learning community for teachers, parents and carers. Working to provide an exemplary education for local children, we partner with local schools; community groups and other education providers under the umbrella of The Spencer Academies Trust.
In FS2, we have been absolutely blown away by the standard of our writing this week. We have been writing rhyming sentences for Oi Frog, and the children enjoyed it so much that they didn’t want to stop writing! We are so proud! #aimhigh @BrackensdaleS pic.twitter.com/UvHcnngdUQ
The children have been working on creating posters this week on the Zones of Regulations! They then wanted to share their learning with their families! I'm certainly in the green zone after watching this 💚 @BrackensdaleS @ZonesOfReg #shinebright pic.twitter.com/HBaOIdj9Xh
Year 2's Marc Quinn inspired flowers are really starting to take shape. We can't wait to share these with parents at the end of the year. #BeKind #ShineBright #AimHigh @BrackensdaleS pic.twitter.com/7FecJO1tvB
FS2 enjoyed a Superhero Training Day this week. We took part in lots of activities which helped to develop our gross motor skills, including a special superhero assault course. By the end of the day, we were all fully trained superheroes! #shinebright @BrackensdaleS pic.twitter.com/Bz2gZZP2PV
Our pupils have had an amazing time today celebrating #NationalNumeracyDay by dressing up as a career or hobby that uses numeracy @BrackensdaleS #bekind #shinebright #aimhigh pic.twitter.com/mfLIj9OGbN
